RCM Thumbs are Built to Last
RCM manufactures professionally designed thumb claw attachments for mini excavators.

We use high quality strong AR400 3/4'' steel that will not wear down.
Thumbs are mounted directly to the excavator.
Our thumbs are designed to fold up as close to the boom as possible. With 120 +/- degrees of rotation, for maximum use.

Professional Hydraulic Cylinders
Our hydraulic cylinders are custom designed by RCM and manufactured in the USA. We make our high quality cylinders with a stronger internal rod to prevent bending.
Designed for maximum possible stroke, the thumb folds up and out of the way when not in use. Less than even factory designed models. Utilizing side ports allows for the hoses to connect out of the way of use. Made for 3500 psi, tested at 3000 psi.

What is in our kit
RCM sells complete thumb kits. All kits come with install instructions.
RCM Custom designed thumb. Custom hydraulic cylinder. Two - 1/2’’ Hydraulic hoses.
Main pin - Not center drilled. 4140 Heat treated, high strength steel (HSS). This HSS pin will last, decreasing chances of: complications, breaks, wear and tear. Hydraulic cylinder pins. Two pins, one single hole, one double hole, made with C-1018 steel.
A set of Flat Face Quick Connect couplers (1 Male/ 1 Female). Two 90-degree elbows. Required Nuts and bolts.

Replacement Parts
Replacement parts available. Hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic hoses, quick connects, and main pins. Hydraulic cylinder seal kits. As well as bushings to adjust the fit if your thumb if needed.

Customizations to fit your needs
We offer kits for machines with different arm lengths, optional weld on base mounts, and custom kits upon request.
When adding a thumb kit to your cart and at checkout you can customize your thumb kit to fit your needs. Anything from if you need a mount for your machine to the length of hoses.
Then at checkout a form will pop up to ensure you order the correct thumb for your set up. This form allows you to select the correct kit, without changing the price.

AR400 Steel
AR400 is a high-hardness, quench-and-tempered alloy designed for severe abrasion resistance in mining and heavy equipment, offering significantly longer service life under wear.
Other companies use A36 is a soft, low-carbon mild steel. AR400 is more expensive and lasts longer in wear applications, while A36 is more versatile and cheaper.
